LOCATION
The Lincoln Parish Museum & Historical Society is located at 609 North Vienna Street, several blocks north of historic downtown Ruston, Louisiana. 

HOURS OF OPERATION
The museum is open to visitors Tuesday through Friday, 10:00 am – 4:00 pm,  with a general closure for lunch from noon – 1:00 pm. The museum is open Saturday and Sunday by appointment only. The museum is closed on major holidays. 

TOUR INFORMATION
Tours are conducted Tuesday through Friday, 10:00 am – noon and 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm. Please allow 30 minutes for each tour. For larger groups or field trips, please call 318-251-0018 to schedule your visit.

ADMISSION INFORMATION
Admission is free, but donations are welcomed and appreciated. 

WEEKLY EVENTS
The museum hosts The Knitters Group every Thursday afternoon. If you are interested in joining the group, please call 318-251-0018 or email lpmuseum@bellsouth.net for more information. 

FACILITY RENTALS

THE AUTREY HOUSE MUSEUM, a satellite property of the Lincoln Parish Museum
Located in Lincoln Parish on Highway 152 between Dubach and Hico, the Autrey House Museum is an example of the log dogtrot, the most common traditional house type of the early North Louisiana hill country. Built in 1849 and believed to be the oldest surviving structure in Lincoln Parish, the hand-hewn log house with square notches has an open central hall with two rooms on each side, an original ironstone chimney, and a sleeping loft. The family cemetery is located behind the house.

UPDATE, Summer 2017: The Autrey House Museum is in immediate need of a new roof and foundation work. The cost of these projects are estimated at approximately $50,000. The Lincoln Parish Museum invites your support in maintaining this historic Louisiana treasure.
